A Celebration of Women in Business (and a Whole Lot of Magic)
In November, I had the absolute pleasure of planning and creating a styled shoot at Middelvlei Wine Estate, and I can honestly say it was one of those days that reminds you why you love what you do.
Yes, the setting was stunning. Yes, the flowers were dreamy. Yes, everything came together in that “how is this real life” kind of way. But the most special part of the day had nothing to do with the table décor or the veil.
It was the people.
Every single supplier involved in the shoot was a woman. Not just a woman in the industry, but a woman who had built her own business from the ground up. Women who have taken risks, worked late nights, poured their hearts into their craft, and still show up with passion and professionalism every time.
That is what made the day feel so powerful.
There is something different about being in a room full of women who are all creating. Everyone bringing their talent. Everyone backing each other. No ego. No competition. Just “how can we make this even better?” energy.
The florals were placed with care. The makeup was done with precision. The details were styled with intention. The content was captured beautifully. Every person had their own role, their own magic, and together it all came to life effortlessly.
This shoot wasn’t just about pretty pictures. It was about what happens when women support women. When creativity meets courage. When small business owners collaborate instead of competing. And when everyone shows up, not just to do their job, but to do it with pride.
I walked away from that day feeling inspired, grateful, and more certain than ever that this is the kind of work I want to be doing. Creating meaningful experiences, alongside people who genuinely care.
