If you’ve ever thought, “I can handle planning my own wedding, how hard can it be?” … oh, my friend, let me stop you right there. Because that was me.
I planned every detail of my wedding; the timeline, the décor, the music, the flowers. I had vision boards, color palettes, and spreadsheets galore. I was organized, inspired, and convinced I didn’t need a planner. I mean, I am a planner at heart. What could go wrong?
Well… let’s talk about the flowers.
I had spent weeks designing the perfect floral arrangements: soft, romantic tones with touches of wild greenery; effortless, whimsical, us. But when I walked down the aisle, something felt off. My dream florals were nowhere in sight. The bouquets were lovely, yes, but completely different from what I’d asked for! And here’s the kicker: there was no planner there to notice, no one to quietly handle it before I saw it, and no one to smooth things over while I was busy, you know… getting married!
I’d handed over the reins to my mom and bridesmaids for the day so I could just relax, but they ended up running around sorting out a hundred tiny details. At one point, I actually found myself sitting alone, sipping my mimosa, wondering why everyone was so busy instead of soaking up the fun with me!
Looking back, I realize that’s exactly what a planner does. We shield you from the chaos. We make sure your vision isn’t lost in translation. We handle every hiccup so that you can float through your day in a blissful bubble of love, laughter, and champagne.
Whether it’s full-service planning or just an on-the-day coordinator, having someone there to manage the details means you get to do what you should be doing, soaking up every magical moment. Because trust me, you only get to live it once… and it should be perfect.
