Irene and Juan’s wedding day weather was less than perfect with a venue that did not accommodate the bad weather all too well. Thus the decision was made that we would wait the bad weather out for a few days and pick the first sunny day we saw to do their dream portrait session. They rented a white bouncy castle and decided for their last trick of the day they would be jumping into the swimming pool with their wedding outfits on.
Now to a photographer this was such a treat, all the stress from their wedding day was gone and was replaced by an unbridled joy that they could freely and more comfortably express in front of my lens. If I had the option I would have done this for my own wedding portraits! So, the question is.. Do you compromise your ideal wedding portraits on the day of your wedding or do you do the absurdly fun option of getting dressed a second time and going all out? Well, if you want to do the latter, sign me up!
It might seem severely unconventional but might this not be the trick to getting those exact perfect shots you were dreaming of? Now granted, this approach is definitely not meant for everyone but it might just be perfect for you if you find the stress on your wedding day unbearable.
