Marli & Lourens were my first ever clients. We did a winter engagement photoshoot last year and decided that this year we would update it with a summer version for their 2026 wedding invites. Thus the search began for the perfect venue to capture Marli’s vision. RomCom inspired architecture, we had so many options on the table but finally landed on Pretoria Church Square.
Yes,there is an added risk to this location so we went the extra mile of having my husband tag along to be our personal bodyguard (highly recommend doing this if you are concerned about this location). The final headache came the evening before when the weather forecast said rain,rain,rain from 16:00 onwards. There went our golden hour plans! I called Marli to ask if they would at all be open to meeting me there at sunrise to 1. Avoid the rain and 2. Avoid being there after dark. And we were set,they were game and I was buzzing.
We ran around ,we danced and we had the time of our life in our own city movie montage. I could not be happier with how this photoshoot turned out, we were in and out before 07:00! Maybe we should start the morning shoot trend?
Needless to say,nothing much is ever too much to ask. I am more often than not all in to make your dream shoot come to life!
