From classic curls to sleek updos, the right hairstyle doesn’t just complement the look — it completes it. For me, the journey to creating a hair style that truly stuns always begins with understanding the personality of the event, the energy of the client, and the vibe we’re going for. And in this particular case — a wedding day — the goal was effortless beauty with a romantic twist.
Starting with Effortless Waves: I began by styling soft, beachy waves — a timeless and versatile choice. These waves instantly add volume, movement, and a relaxed elegance that works beautifully with nearly any wedding dress silhouette or makeup style. They’re especially perfect for brides looking for that “I woke up like this, but better” glam. But we didn’t stop there.
Bringing in the Boho Vibes: To capture a more whimsical, bohemian feel, I incorporated delicate twists into the hair. This added an organic, textured element while also allowing us to create a beautiful half-up, half-down style for the bride — the perfect balance between formal and free-spirited. The half-up structure not only kept the hair away from the bride’s face but also allowed for those soft, face-framing curls that flatter in every photo. Each curl was gently defined, then brushed out just enough to maintain softness without losing shape.
Making the Bride Shine: To make the bride’s hairstyle truly unique and distinguishable, I added hair accessories — small pearl pins and dainty floral clips that caught the light just enough to sparkle without overwhelming the look. These details tied in with her bouquet and gown embellishments, subtly reinforcing the theme of the day.
Bridesmaids with a Classic look: While the bride’s hair had a relaxed, romantic feel, I wanted the bridesmaids’ styles to complement her while still giving them their own moment. So for them, I opted for a more structured, classic wave. Think Hollywood glam meets modern elegance — smoother, sleeker waves that give a polished finish without overshadowing the bride. This contrast created visual harmony in group photos, ensuring that the bride stood out, yet everyone looked cohesive and beautifully styled.
Ready to Dance the Night Away. Each hairstyle was finished with a lightweight setting spray, carefully chosen to hold the style in place without creating any stiffness or heaviness. Because let’s face it — looking stunning and feeling comfortable should always go hand in hand.
From the intimate ceremony to the emotional speeches and the wild energy on the dance floor, the final looks stayed flawless. No frizz, no fallout — just soft, secure styles that carried the bridal party through every laugh, every happy tear, and every unforgettable moment well into the night.But beyond the technical details, it’s important to remember: hair isn’t just hair.
