When you picture a wedding in pastel colours with classic roses and hydrangeas, you might envision a garden setting. Combining these soft, romantic colours with a contemporary venue featuring industrial steel windows can create a unique, stunning atmosphere that feels fresh, modern, and elegant.
Here’s a look at one couple’s dream wedding, hosted in a contemporary venue with expansive steel windows that let natural light flood in, highlighting delicate pastel hues and timeless floral arrangements.
Setting the Scene: The Venue
This modern wedding took place in a spacious, industrial venue with large, steel-framed windows stretching from floor to ceiling. The minimalist interior with polished concrete floors and high ceilings was a perfect blank canvas, allowing the couple’s pastel colour palette and lush floral arrangements to shine. These expansive windows brought in plenty of natural light and provided views of the cityscape, adding a sophisticated urban touch to the romantic setting.
A Soft and Romantic Pastel Color Palette
The couple chose a soft, dreamy pastel palette of blush pink, lavender, and green. These hues were woven through every element of the wedding, creating a fresh, timeless, cohesive look. The pastel colours paired beautifully with the venue’s industrial elements, softening the space and giving it a warm, inviting feel of dusty blue and hints of mint g.
Floral Design: Roses and Hydrangeas
Roses and hydrangeas were at the heart of the floral arrangements, chosen for their timeless beauty and full, luxurious blooms. The florals were arranged in lush centrepieces, bringing an elegant, garden-like feel to the industrial space. The colour palette came to life in the flowers, with blush and white roses and soft blue hydrangeas making up the primary blooms. To add texture and depth, we included pale green eucalyptus. These green accents complemented the pastel tones and added a natural, organic feel that balanced the venue’s clean lines.
Reception Décor: A Blend of Softness and Sleekness
Table linens in shades of blush were complemented by rose gold and glass decor pieces, which added a touch of sophistication. Pink candles scattered across the tables added warmth, enhancing the dreamy, romantic feel. The candlelight and lighting design highlighted the pastel tones and brought out the rich textures of the flowers, making the space feel cosy and enchanting.
This wedding was a testament to how a creative combination of colours, textures, and flowers can transform even the most industrial spaces into a romantic haven.
