Ghosting a Florist Led to a Haunting Wedding Experience

Working as a florist means meeting many excited couples, each looking forward to creating the perfect wedding day. One couple, in particular, stood out to me. They were enthusiastic during our initial conversation, and I happily sent them all the information they needed. Then… nothing. I never received a request for a quote, never had another discussion, and every follow-up email I sent was ignored. I was left completely in the dark.

Fast forward to their wedding day. By pure coincidence, I was working at their venue as a freelance wedding coordinator. As the morning unfolded, I watched the team scramble to fix one problem after another. The florist they had chosen had left arrangements unfinished, flowers were poorly prepared, and last-minute issues created unnecessary stress for everyone involved.

It was difficult not to wonder what might have happened if they had simply taken the time to compare their options and have honest conversations with the florists they contacted.

This experience reminded me that behind every email is a real person who genuinely cares about making your wedding beautiful. Most florists pour their hearts into their work and want nothing more than to help bring your vision to life.

My advice to every engaged couple is simple: request quotes, ask questions, and speak to several florists before making your decision. Even if you don’t choose someone, a quick reply is always appreciated. A little courtesy goes a long way, and taking the time to choose the right florist could save you from disappointment and help make your special day everything you dreamed it would be.
