As the bride you should be embracing these moments – the venue should provide someone to ensure the cake has arrived, the photographer is on time and the officiator has done a mic check with the DJ.
- Back up Electricity
There is nothing as stressful as mid- hair and make-up loadshedding! On possibly the biggest day of your life, this is a stress factor no bride should have! Also know your venues policy on this.
- On-site area for the Groom to get ready
The day of the wedding should be for both bride and groom. The gents should also enjoy a relaxing space to embrace the day and everything that goes with it. Not to mention that this contributes to your peace of mind as the bride to know that the groom is already on the premises, no unforeseen delays in his arrival or any possibilities of additional stress factors.
- Back-up alternatives to Open air spaces
A beautiful outdoor ceremony is one of the most magical moments that could exist but let’s be honest, the one thing out of any one’s control is the weather. Be sure your venue has an alternative space that will be used for any part of your wedding that was planned for outdoors. Not being pessimistic but this could happen in any month of the year – also check on procedure should the venue have to be moved in-doors, would the venue assist in moving minor items or would the indoor space have to be used as is.
