A lot of brides assume that ordering a custom ring is a complicated, expensive or time-consuming process. The truth is, it doesn’t have to be any of those things. At Moissanite by G, we have built our process around making it as simple and personal as possible, and you don’t need to know anything about gemstones, settings or ring design before you reach out.

Here is exactly what the process looks like, from your very first message to the moment your ring arrives.

Step 1: Getting in Touch

The process starts when you contact us, whether that’s via email, Instagram, Facebook or our website. From there, we ask you to share a few details: any inspiration images you have saved, your preferred metal, stone shape, carat size and ring size. If you have a budget in mind, that helps too, but it’s not a requirement at this stage.

Many of our clients come to us with a very clear idea of what they want. Others arrive with a handful of Pinterest screenshots and not much else. Both are completely fine.

Step 2: The Consultation

Most of our conversations start over WhatsApp or email, but if you would prefer something more personal, we also offer virtual consultations via Google Meet or Zoom. This is a great option if your design is more detailed or if you simply want to talk through your ideas before committing to anything.

During this conversation, we discuss your vision, your inspiration images, your preferred stone shape and metal, your ring size, your timeline and your budget. We ask the questions, so you don’t need to have all the answers ready.

Step 3: Your Quote

Once we have a clear picture of what you are looking for, we put together a detailed quote. If you are happy to go ahead, a 50% deposit is required to begin the process. We also offer flexible payment options, including Payflex, so that the ring you have always imagined stays within reach.

Step 4: Your 3D CAD Design

This is where it starts to get exciting. Once your deposit is received, we create a 3D CAD design of your ring. This is a detailed digital render that shows you exactly how your ring will look from every angle, including the band width, the setting style and the stone placement.

If anything needs adjusting, whether that’s the band thickness, the setting height or any other detail, we make those changes and send you an updated version. We keep going until you are fully happy with the design before production begins.

Step 5: Production

Once the CAD is approved, your ring goes into production. It is handcrafted and set with your chosen stone, and the process typically takes four to six weeks depending on the complexity of the design.

Throughout production, we keep you updated on where your ring is and share progress photos or videos where possible. You are never left wondering what is happening on our end.

Step 6: The Moment It All Becomes Real

When production is complete, we send you photos and videos of the finished ring before arranging final payment and shipping. This is the moment most of our clients tell us everything starts to feel real.

Step 7: Delivery

Once the final balance is settled, your ring is carefully packaged and shipped to you. For something this special, we make sure it arrives safely.

You Don’t Need to Know Everything Before You Reach Out

One of the things we hear most often from new clients is that they were nervous to get in touch because they didn’t know enough about rings or gemstones. You don’t need to. Whether you have a fully developed design in mind or just a few photos you’ve been saving on Pinterest, that is more than enough to start.

Our job is to guide you through the process and help bring your vision to life – a ring that is uniquely yours, and made to last a lifetime.
