Where did you meet each other?
As fate would have it, I was a first-year in Wag-‘n-Bietjie Ladies Hostel and Ivan was a third-year living across me in Excelsior Men’s Hostel in Potchefstroom. In 2015, my hostel won Sêr and we had to raise money for Nationals in Stellenbosch. We went to Excelsior to sell R5 OBS shots in winter and with the next knock on the door- there was Ivan… After a few embarrassing laughs, he invited me for coffee the following day. After a few declines, I said yes and wow, he made me the most amazing Rooibos in his BEN10 coffee cup, 6 hours later of non-stop talking, and an invitation/date to a Proteas Cricket game -that is where our journey started.
