Your wedding day, the day you have been dreaming off since you were a little girl. So many planning, ideas and dreams. Make sure you invest in the best possible photographer to capture all the detail of your spectacular day. These are the Top 10 Wedding Photos you need:
1. The Dress
The wedding dress is one of the wedding mysteries, all the guests are wondering what dress you are going to wear. Your hubby to be can’t wait to see you in your wedding dress and the dress is also one of the biggest wedding expenses. You want your photographer to capture stunning images of all the detail and angles of your dress.
2. Pretty Details
You have spent so much time deciding what shoes to wear on your wedding day, what perfume to put on, how your flowers should look like. Have all your bridal details ready for your photographer, your wedding rings, special underwear, your something blue, wedding stationary – basically everything!
3. Bridal Portraits
Girl, this is your time to shine. I love taking an hour with my bride and really capture beautiful, glamorous bridal portraits. Make sure your beauty team is on time so that you have enough time with your photographer. This is your most beautiful day, you want as many photos as possible.
4. The Guys
It is important that your photographer capture the guys in their natural habitat. Do they like playing soccer? Take photos of them playing soccer. I love taking James Bond like groom shots, I mean who doesn’t like looking like Mr. Bond.
5. First Look
Eeeeeep! This is where everyone gets goosebumps. Dear Groom, we know you are stressing about your speech later, but please give us some emotion during the first look. It is so important that your photographer gets a good shot of you walking down the aisle but also the reaction of your groom.
6. Confetti Fun
Yay you are officially married! After the formal ceremony it’s time for confetti photos. Walk slowly as you’re being tossed with rose petals, make a little dance twirl and just embrace the moment.
7. The Mommy Shot
This photo is for mommy and granny. Your typical stand and smile photo. Make sure your photographer gets a beautiful close up as well as a full-length photo where you and your husband’s entire wedding attire shows.
8. Veil Beauties
Oh, I just loooove these. Soft – Romantic – Pretty! Veil photos are also some of my favourites. I love taking veil shots during the bridal portraiture shoot but also during the couple shoot; even if you just get a veil for the photos, it will be so worth it!
Think fashion magazine cover shot, the “creatives” is where your photographer can think and shoot outside of the box. This only happens 5% of the wedding, but it is so awesome to have creative, award-winning images as part of your wedding album. Don’t be scared to share some of your creative ideas with your photographer before the wedding.
Emotional wedding photos are properly my favourite; these are the images that just happened, your photographer can’t set up an emotional shot. This is one of the reasons a second shooter is so important to capture these images. Most of my emotional shots were taken by my husband while I was busy shooting the main events of the ceremony.
